Sunrisers Hyderabad has made a trade with Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2027 IPL season, acquiring Tamil Nadu pacer T. Natarajan in exchange for Uttar Pradesh spinner Zeeshan Ansari. Natarajan previously played for Sunrisers from 2020 to 2024 and made a significant impact, earning a spot in the Indian national team. He was a key player in the team’s journey to the IPL 2024 final, where he took 19 wickets.

After being bought for a hefty sum of INR 10.75 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, Natarajan is now returning to Sunrisers for a revised fee of INR 5 crore. On the other hand, Ansari joined Sunrisers in 2025 and featured in 10 matches, claiming six wickets. His impressive performances in the 2025/26 Vijay Hazare Trophy led to a call-up to the India-A squad for the Sri Lanka tour.

With the departure of Kuldeep Yadav to Lucknow Super Giants, Ansari will now have the opportunity to establish himself as the lead spinner in the Delhi Capitals’ lineup. The trade between the two franchises signifies a strategic move to strengthen their respective squads for the upcoming season.

The trade was announced on October 14, 2026, and fans are eagerly anticipating the performances of Natarajan and Ansari in the upcoming IPL season. It will be interesting to see how these talented players contribute to their new teams and make an impact in the highly competitive tournament.
