Rajasthan Royals’ opener, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, faced a disappointing start in the IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad as he was dismissed for a golden duck for the first time in his career. The dismissal came at the hands of Praful Hinge, who was making his IPL debut and went on to pick three wickets in the opening over, setting a new record.
Suryavanshi had recently impressed with a stellar knock of 78 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which had earned him the top spot on the Orange Cap standings. However, his early dismissal in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad saw him relinquish the position to Heinrich Klaasen.
Over the past two seasons, Suryavanshi has showcased his talent by scoring 452 runs in 12 innings at an impressive average of 37.66 and a strike rate of 228.28. He has also managed to score three half-centuries and one century during this time.
Despite the setback in this match, Suryavanshi’s performance in the IPL has been commendable, and he remains a key player for the Rajasthan Royals. The team will be hoping for a strong comeback from him in the upcoming matches to continue their successful campaign in the tournament.
