Yash Dayal, the fast bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), recently discussed his heroic performance in the last over against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In a thrilling match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Dayal successfully defended 15 runs and dismissed the legendary MS Dhoni. This was the second time in a row that Dayal had outperformed Dhoni in a final-over showdown.

With only 15 runs needed for CSK to secure a much-needed victory, Dayal strategically bowled low full-tosses, ultimately getting Dhoni out LBW on the fourth ball. Despite a brief hiccup with a waist-high no-ball, Dayal regained his composure and limited CSK to just three more runs in the final three balls.

Reflecting on his performance, Dayal credited his confidence and execution for his success against Dhoni. He emphasized that he had no intention of taking Dhoni’s wicket, but it was a fortunate outcome for him.

Dayal’s stellar performance has been instrumental in RCB’s success in the IPL 2025 season, with 10 wickets in 11 matches. RCB is set to face Lucknow Super Giants next on May 9.
