Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has announced Harsh Dubey as the replacement for the injured R Smaran for the rest of the IPL 2025 season. Dubey, a talented all-rounder who plays domestic cricket for Vidarbha, has made a name for himself with his exceptional performances.

During Vidarbha’s successful Ranji Trophy 2024-25 campaign, the 22-year-old Dubey achieved a remarkable feat by taking 69 wickets, breaking the record for the most wickets in a single season. Additionally, he scored 476 runs and was honored with the title of ‘Player of the Tournament’.

With a total of 127 wickets and 941 runs in 16 T20s, 20 List A, and 18 First-Class matches, Dubey has proven himself as a valuable asset on the field. Sunrisers Hyderabad secured his services for INR 30 lakh, hoping that his skills will contribute to the team’s success.

Currently positioned ninth with six points from 10 games, SRH is gearing up to face Delhi Capitals in their upcoming match on Monday. The team will be looking to harness Dubey’s talent and determination to boost their performance and secure more victories in the remainder of the IPL season.
