Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have made a new signing in the form of New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert. This move comes as a replacement for Jacob Bethell, who will be leaving the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 to join the England national team on May 24.

Before his departure, Bethell will be available for RCB’s final league-stage match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23. Seifert, who has a strong track record in T20 cricket with 66 appearances for New Zealand and 1,540 runs to his name, will be joining RCB for a sum of Rs 2 crore.

The Kiwi cricketer’s inclusion in the RCB squad will be effective from May 24, adding depth and experience to the team’s batting lineup. With his impressive performances at the international level, Seifert is expected to make a significant impact for RCB in the latter stages of the IPL 2025 season.

RCB fans will be eager to see how Seifert adapts to the challenges of the IPL and contributes to the team’s success. His arrival will provide a boost to the squad as they look to secure a spot in the playoffs and compete for the championship title.
