Sunrisers Hyderabad’s hopes of making it to the playoffs were dashed when their match against the Delhi Capitals was called off due to rain. This made them the third team, after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, to officially be out of contention for the top four spots in the tournament.
As for the Delhi Capitals, they remained in fifth place in the points table even after the shared points from the abandoned match. However, their chances of qualifying for the playoffs took a hit as they now trail fourth-placed Gujarat Titans by just one point, despite having played one more game.

9. Rajasthan Royals – 6 points (Eliminated)
10. Chennai Super Kings – 4 points (Eliminated)
These standings were updated after the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals match on May 5.
