Sanju Samson’s poor performance at the Chepauk stadium continued as he was dismissed early in the IPL 2026 fixture between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. Opening the innings with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Samson was bowled out by Xavier Bartlett in the second over, scoring only seven runs off seven balls. Bartlett exploited Samson’s movement towards the leg side and bowled a delivery that caught his outside edge, resulting in his dismissal.
In his six matches at the Chepauk, Samson has only managed to score 66 runs at an average of 11 and a strike rate of 100, including a duck. Despite being traded to CSK before the auction, Samson had a disappointing start to the season with a low score against Rajasthan Royals. However, he expressed excitement about joining CSK and learning from players like MS Dhoni.
On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja opened up about his emotional departure from CSK, stating that although it was difficult, he is now looking forward to contributing to his new team. He emphasized the importance of embracing change and learning from new experiences.
