Adam Gilchrist predicted that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will finish at the bottom of the standings in IPL 2025 due to having too many English players in the squad. Despite joking about the Englishmen in the team, Gilchrist clarified that he has nothing against RCB or Virat Kohli. RCB’s squad includes players like Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, and Phil Salt, with Salt likely to open the batting alongside Kohli. Rajat Patidar will captain the team, with players like Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also in the squad.

On the other hand, former England captain Michael Vaughan predicted that Delhi Capitals will come last in the upcoming season due to a lack of high-class Indian batters in their team. Vaughan mentioned that apart from KL Rahul, the team lacks quality Indian batsmen. Delhi Capitals recently announced Faf du Plessis as the deputy captain and Kevin Pietersen as the mentor. They will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 in Visakhapatnam. The Delhi Capitals squad also includes players like Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel leading the team.
