Jitesh Sharma has been named as the captain for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as Rajat Patidar has been included as an Impact Player due to a finger injury. This will be Sharma’s first time leading the team. Sharma won the toss and chose to field at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. He expressed his excitement about captaining RCB and their goal to finish at the top of the table and make it to the playoffs.

Head coach Andy Flower confirmed that Patidar is fit to bat despite the injury and praised his dedication to giving his hand time to heal. RCB, who are unbeaten at home this season, have already secured a spot in the playoffs. They face SRH, who are out of playoff contention, in their upcoming game. Travis Head, who has recovered from Covid-19, will return to the SRH XI for the match.

RCB has been unbeaten in six away games this season and statistically, the match against SRH is considered a home game for them. The team is focused on maintaining their winning streak and securing a victory in their final league game.
