Preity Zinta, the actor and co-owner of Punjab Kings, has arrived in Jeddah for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction in Saudi Arabia on November 24-25. After taking a digital detox, she shared a video on Instagram showcasing the scenic location in Jeddah and expressed her excitement for the auction, inviting recommendations for their potential auction strategy.

Punjab Kings have already announced the retention of batters Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh for the upcoming season. Prabhsimran has scored 756 runs in 34 games since 2019, while Shashank scored 354 runs in 14 games last season. Despite finishing ninth last season, Punjab Kings are gearing up for the auctions with high hopes.

The auction will see 574 players go under the hammer, including 208 overseas players, 12 uncapped overseas talents, and 318 uncapped Indian players. The marquee players list includes names like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul, who were released by their franchises ahead of the retention deadline.

Teams will have the option to use Right-to-Match (RTM) cards during the auction, with different teams holding varying numbers of RTMs. The auction promises to deliver high-stakes action with strategic manoeuvres and marquee players set to enthrall cricket fans.
