The BCCI has announced a change in venues for the IPL 2026 fixtures between the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings. The decision to swap venues comes after the announcement of the Gujarat municipal elections scheduled for April 26, 2026.

The afternoon fixture between GT and CSK, originally set to take place in Ahmedabad on April 26, will now be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match will start at 03:30 PM IST. On the other hand, the reverse fixture between CSK and GT, initially planned for May 21 in the evening, will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match is scheduled to begin at 07:30 PM IST.

Both GT and CSK have had a mixed season so far, with GT currently in fifth place and CSK in ninth place on the points table after four games played.

The rescheduling of the fixtures aims to accommodate the municipal elections in Gujarat and ensure the smooth conduct of the IPL matches. Fans can now look forward to an exciting clash between GT and CSK at their new venues.

The announcement was made on April 13, 2026, and fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches with the new venue arrangements.
