The BCCI has finalized Mullanpur and Ahmedabad as the two venues for the four play-off games of IPL 2025 after the schedule was revised on Tuesday. The decision came after a brief suspension earlier this month due to border tensions between India and Pakistan. Mullanpur will host the much-awaited Qualifier 1 on Thursday featuring the top-two ranked sides, followed by an Eliminator clash on Friday. Meanwhile, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host Qualifier 2 and the grand final. The change in venues was made by the IPL Governing Council considering weather conditions and other parameters. Previously, Hyderabad and Kolkata were set to host these games. The PCA Stadium in Mullanpur had already hosted four Punjab Kings league stage home matches. The teams confirmed for the play-offs are Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Titans, with Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians competing for the fourth spot. The PCA has expedited preparations for the upcoming games.
