Mukul Choudhary played a heroic innings, smashing seven sixes and two fours to lead Lucknow Super Giants to a thrilling three-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Choudhary’s 27-ball 54, including a crucial 16-run over against Cameron Green, turned the tide in LSG’s favor. Despite a strong bowling performance from KKR, with Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy stifling the middle order, Ayush Badoni’s 34-ball 54 kept LSG in the hunt before Choudhary’s late fireworks sealed the win.
KKR’s innings was anchored by an 84-run partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, but a flurry of wickets in the middle overs allowed LSG to make a comeback. Vaibhav Arora’s quick double strike had KKR in a strong position before a late collapse restricted them to 181/6.
LSG faced a tough chase but Badoni’s resilience and Choudhary’s brilliance saw them home with two balls to spare. KKR’s bowlers tried to apply pressure but LSG’s batsmen held their nerve to secure a memorable victory. Despite a late surge, KKR fell short as LSG emerged victorious in a nail-biting finish.
