Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pulled off a stunning three-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) thanks to Mukul Choudhary’s heroics with the bat. Choudhary’s unbeaten 27-ball 54 helped LSG chase down KKR’s challenging total of 182 at the Eden Gardens.

KKR had set a competitive target with contributions from skipper Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green, and Rovman Powell. However, LSG found themselves in a tough spot during the chase before Choudhary’s late onslaught turned the game in their favor.

Despite losing wickets regularly, LSG managed to keep the required run rate in check with Ayush Badoni also scoring a valuable half-century. Choudhary’s fearless strokeplay in the final overs proved to be the difference as LSG secured their second win in a thrilling last-ball finish.

Earlier, Rahane and Raghuvanshi had laid a strong foundation for KKR with composed batting and smart shot selection. Green and Powell also played crucial roles in setting a challenging total for LSG.

Mohammed Shami stood out with his bowling performance for LSG, delivering accurate and economical spells to restrict KKR’s scoring. In the end, LSG emerged victorious in a dramatic encounter that showcased the unpredictable nature of T20 cricket.

The match was played on April 9, 2026, and will be remembered for Choudhary’s match-winning innings that sealed the victory for LSG.
