After his impressive 33-ball 62 against Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli reclaimed the top spot in the IPL 2025 Orange Cap standings. Sai Sudharsan briefly held the position after his 48-run innings for Gujarat Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Gujarat Titans’ captain, Shubman Gill, also continued his excellent form with a 76-run knock, placing him in the top five alongside Jos Buttler, who scored yet another fifty.
The current top five leading run-getters in IPL 2025 are as follows:
1. Virat Kohli (RCB) – 505 runs in 11 matches, averaging 63.13 with a strike rate of 143.46, highest score of 73*
2. Sai Sudharsan (GT) – 504 runs in 10 matches, averaging 50.40 with a strike rate of 154.12, highest score of 82
3. Suryakumar Yadav (MI) – 475 runs in 11 matches, averaging 67.86 with a strike rate of 172.72, highest score of 68*
4. Jos Buttler (GT) – 470 runs in 10 matches, averaging 78.33 with a strike rate of 169.06, highest score of 97*
5. Shubman Gill (GT) – 465 runs in 10 matches, averaging 51.67 with a strike rate of 162.02, highest score of 90
