Virat Kohli, the India batter, has dismissed rumors about making “big demands” to Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Speculations arose from a social media post shared by Kohli himself, stating that he had requested chartered flights between India and London and permission to visit his family in London during longer breaks between matches. However, Kohli responded lightly to the claims by posting laughing emojis on his Instagram story, effectively shutting down the chatter.

Fresh off leading RCB to their maiden IPL title last season, Kohli has returned to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to prepare for the new campaign. Addressing the squad before their first training session, Kohli emphasized the importance of maintaining the intensity that led to their previous success. He urged the team to give their all from the start, as the competition will be tougher this season with other teams coming hard at them.

RCB will kick off their IPL 2026 campaign with a home match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28. The franchise has also bolstered their squad by adding players like Venkatesh Iyer, Jordan Cox, Mangesh Yadav, Vicky Ostwal, and Satvik Deswal through the auction.
