The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is set to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, with a total of 577 players up for signing. Out of these players, 46 have been retained by the 10 teams participating in the league.
The auction will feature 12 marquee players who have been divided into two sets and will be the first to go under the hammer. Following this, bidding will commence for other capped and uncapped players. The second day of the auction will see an accelerated process starting from player No. 117 on the list.
The venue for the IPL 2025 mega auction is the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah. Named after a renowned Saudi singer, this arena has already hosted numerous musical concerts since its inauguration in July. It boasts a capacity of 5,000 seats along with standing room for over 10,000 spectators.
This marks only the second time that the IPL player auction is being held outside India, with the previous instance taking place in Dubai in 2023. With the anticipation building up for this mega event, cricket fans are eagerly awaiting to see which players will be picked up by the teams in this high-stakes auction.
