The IPL 2026 season concluded with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) emerging as champions after defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final match at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31. Virat Kohli played a crucial role in RCB’s victory by scoring the winning runs. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals’ 15-year-old sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, had a remarkable season, breaking multiple records and winning several awards. Sooryavanshi secured a total of Rs 87 lakh in performance bonuses, surpassing his Rajasthan Royals contract value. The top four playoff teams shared a prize pool of over Rs 46.5 crore, with RCB taking home Rs 20 crore as champions. Sooryavanshi’s outstanding performances earned him the Orange Cap for scoring 776 runs, as well as other awards like Super Striker of the Season and Most Valuable Player (MVP) of IPL 2026. Additionally, he received a cash bonus and a Tata Curvv vehicle for his achievements.
