Hardik Pandya, the skipper of Mumbai Indians, has rejoined his team in Raipur ahead of their upcoming Indian Premier League match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday. Pandya had missed the previous game against Lucknow Super Giants due to a minor back spasm and was advised to rest for that match. Mumbai Indians confirmed Pandya’s return to the squad with a post on social media, stating that he had checked in to Raipur.
Pandya is expected to participate in a full training session at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, with plans for him to also have a net session on Friday. Mumbai Indians currently find themselves in a difficult position on the points table, sitting at ninth place with seven losses and three wins. In order to have any chance of making it to the playoffs, they will need to win all of their remaining matches.
