Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan stepped onto the field to start the first innings, with Jacob Duffy bowling the first over for RCB. Sudharsan took strike with a slip in place as the game got underway.

Duffy delivered the first ball, which Sudharsan guided to mid on for a dot ball. The next delivery was pitched up with a hint of swing, and Sudharsan drove it to mid off for another dot ball.

The first boundary of the match came when Sudharsan elegantly guided the ball off his pads for four runs. He followed it up with a beautiful cover drive for another boundary, much to the delight of the spectators.

A short delivery down leg side led to Sudharsan attempting a pull shot, which resulted in an appeal for a caught behind. However, after a review, it was confirmed that there was no edge, and Sudharsan survived the scare.

Duffy continued to struggle with his line, bowling wide down the leg side and conceding extras. Despite this, Gill managed to take a single off a better-delivered ball, bringing Sudharsan back on strike.

Sudharsan then tapped a length ball to deep point for a single, as Duffy continued to have trouble finding his rhythm. Gill managed to add another single on the leg side, as the over came to a close with a few extras being given away.

Overall, it was an eventful start to the innings with some good shots from Sudharsan and a few challenges for the bowler Duffy. The game was finely poised as both teams looked to gain an early advantage.
