Kagiso Rabada has been signed by Gujarat Titans for Rs 10.75 crore at the IPL mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Titans outbid Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru to secure Rabada’s services. The South African pacer was released by Punjab Kings before the auction, where he had been playing for the past three seasons. Despite the Kings choosing not to use a Right To Match card on him, Rabada was successfully acquired by Gujarat Titans.

Parthiv Patel, the batting and assistant coach of Gujarat Titans, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s acquisitions of Rabada and Jos Buttler. Rabada, who started his IPL career with Delhi Capitals in 2017, has proven himself as a valuable asset in the T20 format. With 117 wickets in 80 IPL matches and a total of 264 wickets in 211 T20 games, Rabada brings a wealth of experience to the Titans’ bowling attack.

The 29-year-old fast bowler’s addition to the team is expected to bolster their bowling department significantly. Rabada’s ability to take wickets consistently and deliver under pressure makes him a valuable asset for any franchise. Gujarat Titans will be counting on Rabada to lead their bowling attack and contribute towards their success in the upcoming IPL season.
