Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performance in Rajasthan Royals’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders was disappointing as he fell for a 24-ball 29 in their eight-wicket defeat. Former India and KKR star Robin Uthappa criticized Jaiswal for missing an opportunity to take on responsibility and guide his team to a strong total on a challenging pitch. Despite putting up partnerships with Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag, Jaiswal failed to capitalize on his start and was eventually dismissed by Moeen Ali. RR could only manage to score 151/9, which KKR chased down comfortably with Quinton de Kock scoring an unbeaten 97. Jaiswal, who was retained by RR for a hefty sum, has had a mixed IPL career so far with one century and nine half-centuries in 55 matches. Uthappa emphasized the importance of reading conditions and match situations for batters to make an impact in modern-day cricket.
