Delhi Capitals suffered another defeat at home, this time against Kolkata Knight Riders by 14 runs. Their poor run at home continued, with the loss putting them in a precarious position in the top four race. Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, kept their playoff hopes alive with the win.

Chasing 204, DC struggled with only Faf du Plessis, Axar Patel, and Vipraj Nigam providing some resistance. KKR’s spin duo, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, took five wickets to dismantle DC’s batting line-up.

Despite containing KKR to 204/9, DC’s batting collapse led to their downfall. Du Plessis’ valiant effort was not enough as DC kept losing wickets at crucial intervals. KKR’s strong start and middle-order partnerships set a challenging total for DC to chase.

DC’s bowlers tried to pull things back in the middle overs, but KKR’s lower order contributions kept them ahead. Anukul Roy’s early breakthroughs put DC under pressure, and they could not recover, losing wickets at regular intervals.

In the end, DC’s inability to capitalize on opportunities and KKR’s strong performance with both bat and ball led to another disappointing result for the home team.
