Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Brijesh Sharma is set to make his debut for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The match against Chennai Super Kings will take place at the ACA stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati.
Sharma was picked up by RR at his base price of Rs. 30 lakh during the 2026 IPL auction. He started his cricketing journey at the U-19 and U-25 levels representing Jammu and Kashmir.
The 27-year-old had a breakthrough moment during the 2025 Bengal Pro T20 League, where he impressed by taking 11 wickets in just seven matches. He will be joining the likes of Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, and Sandeep Sharma in the seam bowling department for the Royals.
After a disappointing ninth-place finish in the 2025 season, Rajasthan Royals will be hoping for a better performance this year. The team will be looking to Sharma to make an impact and help them climb up the rankings.
The match is scheduled for March 30, 2026, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see Sharma in action as he represents Rajasthan Royals for the first time in the IPL.
