Suresh Raina, a four-time IPL-winning star, predicted that a new champion will be crowned in the ongoing season, hinting at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) winning their maiden title. Raina praised RCB’s performance under new skipper Rajat Patidar, reaching the IPL final after nine years and looking like favorites to end their title drought. He was impressed by Virat Kohli’s leadership qualities on the field, offering valuable input to bowlers and guiding them effectively.

Raina, currently serving as a commentator, commended Kohli’s consistency over his 18-year career and noted that it was difficult to distinguish him from the actual captain during the Qualifier 1 match. Kohli, who missed out with the bat in the game against Punjab Kings, has been a consistent performer for RCB this season with over 614 runs at a strike rate of 146.53.

RCB’s victory over Punjab was highlighted by Josh Hazlewood’s return, who played a crucial role in their eight-wicket win. Bengaluru bundled out Punjab for 101 and chased down the target with 10 overs to spare. Punjab will have another chance to make the final when they face the winner of the eliminator on June 3.
