Despite taking a three-wicket haul, Chakaravarthy had to be substituted after four overs due to an injury. The incident occurred in the 12th over when a delivery hit his left boot, causing visible pain. Despite the discomfort, Chakaravarthy continued to bowl with the support of his teammates.
In a post-match interview, Chakaravarthy mentioned that the injury was just impact pain and he expects to recover fully in a few days. His crucial wickets, including the dismissal of Travis Head and Aniket Verma, played a significant role in KKR’s victory. His spin partner, Sunil Narine, also contributed with two wickets, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored a half-century for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Chakaravarthy’s performance and determination, despite the injury, were commendable and contributed to KKR’s third consecutive victory in the tournament. Fans can rest assured that he is on the path to recovery and will be back in action soon.
