Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the opening batsman for Rajasthan Royals, was named the Most Valuable Player of the IPL 2026 season. Sooryavanshi’s impressive performance saw him score 776 runs at an average of 48.50 and a remarkable strike-rate of 237.31, leading his team to Qualifier 2 with five fifties and one century under his belt.

In an interview after receiving the award, Sooryavanshi credited his aggressive playing style for his success, stating that he always backed his game and went all out if he felt he could hit the ball. At just 15 years and 65 days old, he became the youngest player to ever win this prestigious title.
