The face of IPL has always changed, from MS Dhoni to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This time, it’s a 15-year-old named Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who has been making headlines. He has impressed with his performance, taking on world-class bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar without hesitation. ESPNcricinfo expert Ian Bishop praised Sooryavanshi’s psychological toughness and unique baseball-style bat swing that makes him a formidable T20 batter. Bishop noted that the back-of-a-length delivery is a weakness for Sooryavanshi, but bowlers must execute it perfectly to dismiss him. Despite top bowlers trying different strategies against him, Bishop couldn’t pinpoint a clear flaw in Sooryavanshi’s batting. Currently, Sooryavanshi is third in the Orange Cap standings with 400 runs in nine matches at a remarkable strike rate of 238.09. He will be in action next on May 1 when the Rajasthan Royals face the Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. The TATA IPL 2026’s Revenge Week can be watched live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network from May 2-10.
