Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured their first-ever Indian Premier League title by defeating Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final in Ahmedabad. The thrilling match took place on Tuesday, and RCB emerged victorious, claiming the coveted championship.
In addition to the championship win, several players and teams were recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the IPL 2025 season. Sai Sudharsan from Gujarat Titans was named the Emerging Player of the Season, while Suryakumar Yadav from Mumbai Indians was awarded the title of Most Valuable Player. Sai Sudharsan also clinched the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the season, while Prasidh Krishna from Gujarat Titans received the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets.
Nicholas Pooran from Lucknow Super Giants was honored with the Most Sixes Award, and Sai Sudharsan also claimed the Most Fours Award. Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Rajasthan Royals was recognized for the Best Strike Rate, while Mohammed Siraj from Gujarat Titans bowled the most dot balls. Kamindu Mendis from Sunrisers Hyderabad was acknowledged for making the Catch of the Season.
Chennai Super Kings were awarded the Fair Play Award, and the Delhi District Cricket Association received the Pitch and Ground Award. Krunal Pandya from RCB was named the Player of the final for his stellar performance in the championship match.
