Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old cricket prodigy, continues to impress with his batting skills for Rajasthan Royals in the absence of Sanju Samson. Suryavanshi, who opened the run-chase for RR alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, has caught the attention of fans and former players with his bold approach and big-hitting abilities at such a young age.
During the match against RCB, Suresh Raina was in awe of Suryavanshi’s fearless attitude towards the game. Raina praised the youngster for his temperament, game awareness, and calmness, highlighting his readiness and lack of fear on the field.
Despite RR falling short in the chase, Suryavanshi managed to score 16 runs off 12 balls, including two sixes. In the current season, he has scored 50 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 156.25.
Suryavanshi, who was bought by RR for Rs 1.1 crore in the previous mega auction, made history as the youngest IPL debutant and the second-youngest to debut in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar at just 12 years old. He also showcased his talent on the international stage at the 2024 ACC U-19 Asia Cup, scoring impressive knocks against UAE and Sri Lanka.
Overall, Suryavanshi’s potential and talent have earned him recognition and praise from the cricketing world, positioning him as a rising star in the sport.
