Shaun Pollock praised Rajat Patidar as the greatest RCB captain in IPL history after their win against DC. Patidar’s captaincy has been instrumental in RCB’s successful IPL 2026 campaign, with back-to-back victories putting them in second place on the points table. Punjab Kings lead with 13 points, remaining unbeaten with six wins in seven matches.

Patidar has showcased his leadership on the field, as well as with the bat, anchoring RCB’s middle order with 238 runs in seven innings. Pollock highlighted Patidar’s impact as captain, leading RCB to their first title last season and maintaining a strong record with 15 wins in 20 matches. If Patidar secures another title, Pollock believes he will solidify his position as the greatest RCB captain.

Patidar’s journey with RCB has seen ups and downs, from being released in 2021 to delivering match-winning performances in 2022, including a century in the playoffs. In their recent match against DC, Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s stellar bowling helped RCB restrict DC to 75 runs. Bhuvneshwar claimed 3 wickets for 5 runs, while Hazlewood finished with 4 wickets for 12 runs.
