Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant’s poor performance in the ongoing IPL 2025 has raised concerns among experts. Virender Sehwag advised him to speak to his idol MS Dhoni, while Shaun Pollock suggested that the absence of his Team India mates in the LSG line-up may be affecting his form. Pant scored just 18 runs off 17 balls in their recent match against Punjab Kings, bringing his total runs this season to 128 in 11 innings at a strike rate of 99.22, his worst IPL season since his debut in 2016. Sehwag recommended Pant watch his old IPL clips to regain confidence and revisit his routine for better performance. He also advised Pant to call Dhoni for support. Pollock speculated that Pant may be missing the camaraderie of his fellow Indian players in the team. LSG’s next match is against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 9.
