Rajasthan Royals’ struggles continued in IPL 2025 with their fifth consecutive defeat, this time against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. A video of RR’s CEO, Jake Lush McCrum, walking towards a liquor store in Bengaluru after the loss went viral. The fan who recorded the video claimed McCrum wanted to drown his sorrows in alcohol after the defeat.
Despite a strong start from Yashasvi Jaiswal and some resistance from Dhruv Jurel, the Royals fell short in their run-chase, ending at 194/9. This loss ties their longest-ever losing streak in IPL history, previously set in 2009. RCB, on the other hand, posted a challenging 205/5 thanks to Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal’s partnership.
Sunil Gavaskar criticized Rajasthan’s performance, calling it “unthinking cricket” with coach Rahul Dravid at the helm. RCB’s victory propelled them to third place in the table, remaining unbeaten on the road. They will face Delhi Capitals in their next match.
The Royals’ struggles in IPL 2025 continue, and fans are left wondering if they can turn their fortunes around in the remaining matches.
