During the IPL 2026 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma suffered injury scares. Virat, after scoring a half-century, did not come out to field for RCB due to an ankle injury, while Rohit retired hurt in the sixth over of the chase with a hamstring issue. Despite the injuries, RCB managed to post a total of 240/4 with contributions from Kohli, Phil Salt, and Rajat Patidar. Kohli, despite his frustration with his performance, expressed anger by throwing his gloves and helmet in the dugout. In response, Mumbai Indians’ Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless for the fourth consecutive game but was the most economical bowler. Hardik Pandya, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, and Shardul Thakur took one wicket each for Mumbai Indians. RCB made one change with Jacob Duffy coming in for Josh Hazlewood, while Mumbai Indians made two changes. Despite the injuries and individual performances, RCB emerged victorious in the match.
