Rohit Sharma brought smiles to fans’ faces with a lighthearted moment before the Rajasthan Royals’ match against Mumbai Indians. During a playful exchange at the nets, RR skipper Sanju Samson asked Rohit if it was his birthday, to which Rohit initially denied before eventually revealing that it was indeed his 38th birthday. This led to a warm round of hugs between the players, with Rohit also reuniting with former India head coach Rahul Dravid, who now works with the Royals. The video of their interaction went viral, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.
Rohit and Dravid played key roles in India’s ICC T20 World Cup victory last year, breaking a long trophy drought for the team. Despite Dravid’s struggles as RR coach in the ongoing IPL season, the team recently secured a much-needed win against Gujarat Titans, thanks to 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s century. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have been on a stellar run, winning five matches in a row and comfortably sitting in the top four of the table. In their last match, they defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs after posting a strong score of 215/7.
