Rishabh Pant showcased his brilliance once again in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he scored a scintillating century during the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru match in Lucknow. The left-handed batsman reached his milestone in just 54 balls, smashing 10 sixes and six fours along the way. This was Pant’s second IPL century, with his last one coming in 2018 while playing for Delhi Capitals.
His unbeaten knock of 118 off 61 balls played a crucial role in helping LSG set a formidable target of 227 for RCB to chase. Pant’s century made him the ninth centurion of IPL 2025, and his score of 118 stands as the second-best individual performance of the season so far.
Prior to this innings, Pant had a rather forgettable tournament with the bat, managing only 151 runs in 12 innings. However, his explosive century helped him finish the season with 269 runs at an average of 24.45 and a strike rate of 133.16. The LSG captain’s remarkable innings not only secured a crucial victory for his team but also showcased his ability to single-handedly change the course of a match with his aggressive batting display. Pant’s century will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the standout moments of IPL 2025.
