RCB has signed Tim Seifert as a replacement for Jacob Bethell, who is set to leave for national team duty after the league fixture against SRH on May 23. Seifert, who has IPL experience with KKR in 2021 and DC in 2022, will join RCB from May 24 onwards for the IPL 2025 playoffs. The New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter was acquired for ₹2 crore. RCB, currently second in the table with 17 points in 12 matches, have two more games remaining in the group stage, including a match against LSG on May 27.
Additionally, RCB has also signed Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for the injured Devdutt Padikkal. RCB Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat, expressed confidence in Mayank’s ability to deliver impact and provide experience to the team. Mayank himself expressed excitement about rejoining RCB, stating that the team is focused and playing good cricket. The signing of Seifert and Agarwal aims to strengthen RCB’s squad for the upcoming IPL playoffs.
