Looking back at RCB’s previous final appearances, in the 2009 final, they fell short by six runs against Deccan Chargers despite a valiant effort. In the 2011 final, RCB lost to Chennai Super Kings by 58 runs despite Chris Gayle’s heroics. In the 2016 final, RCB again finished as runners-up, falling eight runs short against Sunrisers Hyderabad despite Virat Kohli’s record-breaking season.
These past final experiences highlight RCB’s journey to the current IPL final and the challenges they have faced in their quest for the coveted title. With their fourth final appearance on the horizon, RCB will be looking to finally clinch the IPL trophy and etch their name in the history of the tournament.
