Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerged victorious in the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings, claiming their first-ever title. RCB set a target of 191 runs and managed to defend it, restricting PBKS to 184 runs. The win secured a hefty prize of ₹20 crore for Virat Kohli and his team. Krunal Pandya’s match-winning spell and solid bowling performance from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal were instrumental in RCB’s success. Despite Punjab Kings’ efforts, Shashank’s brilliant innings fell short as they faced defeat in their first final in 11 years. Emotional scenes followed the victory, with Kohli kissing the ground and celebrating with his teammates. The prize money distribution for IPL 2025 saw RCB bagging ₹20 crore as winners, PBKS receiving ₹12.5 crore as runners-up, and Mumbai Indians taking home ₹7 crore for finishing in third place. Additionally, individual awards such as Most Valuable Player, Orange Cap, Purple Cap, Best Catch, Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season, and Fantasy Player of the Season were also recognized with cash prizes of ₹10 lakh each.
