In a heartwarming moment during the IPL 2025 clash between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, Ravindra Jadeja cheekily caught a one-handed six hit by MS Dhoni from outside the boundary line. Dhoni, walking in to bat at 172/5, immediately made an impact by hitting a boundary off Marco Jansen on his first ball. Facing Yuzvendra Chahal, known for exploiting Dhoni’s struggles against spin, Dhoni confidently stepped out and smashed a six with just one hand on the bat, thrilling the Chepauk crowd. However, Jadeja stole the spotlight by casually catching the shot near the CSK dugout, drawing laughter and applause from players and fans. The moment quickly went viral, showcasing the camaraderie between the two CSK stars. Unfortunately, Dhoni was dismissed by Chahal later in the same over after a quickfire cameo of 11 off 4 balls. Chahal went on to complete a stunning hat-trick, finishing with figures of 4/32 in three overs as CSK were bundled out for 190. With only two wins in nine games, CSK faces a must-win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive.
