Rajasthan Royals responded to allegations of match-fixing made by Jaideep Bihani, the ad-hoc committee convenor of the Rajasthan Cricket Association. The franchise demanded strict action against Bihani and called the accusations “completely false and baseless.” They wrote a letter to the Rajasthan government and Sports Council expressing their disappointment in Bihani’s public statements, which they believed tarnished their reputation without evidence.
Bihani accused the Royals of excluding the RCA ad-hoc committee from organizing IPL matches in Jaipur this year. In response, the Royals clarified that they were working closely with the BCCI and the Sports Council under the guidance of the state government to ensure smooth organization of the IPL matches. They urged the Sports Council and the state government to take necessary steps to prevent such conduct and maintain the integrity of the game.
The Royals are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans in their upcoming matches. They emphasized their commitment to working with the state association and government as directed by the BCCI for the past 18 years.
