KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane is set to play his 200th IPL game today against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens, making him the 11th player in IPL history to achieve this milestone. Rahane’s journey in the IPL has seen him represent six different teams – Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Rising Pune Supergiant, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians. Over the years, he has amassed 5099 runs at an average of 30.72 and a strike rate of 125.44.

Rahane’s best performances in the IPL came during his captaincy with Rajasthan Royals and his time with Chennai Super Kings. He will be looking to mark his 200th game with a victory against SRH in front of the home crowd at Eden Gardens. MS Dhoni holds the record for the most IPL matches played with 278, followed by Rohit Sharma with 273 matches and Virat Kohli with 269 matches.

Other players who have played 200 or more IPL matches include Dinesh Karthik (257 matches), Ravindra Jadeja (255 matches), Shikhar Dhawan (222 matches), Ravichandran Ashwin (221 matches), Suresh Raina (205 matches), Robin Uthappa (205 matches), and Ambati Rayudu (204 matches).
