Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya recently introduced Raghu Sharma as the newest debutant for the team during the toss ahead of the IPL match against Chennai Super Kings. Raghu Sharma, a leg-spinner, joined Krish Bhagat in the squad, adding to the already existing Punjab connection with players like Ashwani Kumar and Mayank Markande. Naman Dhir and Raj Angad Bawa also contribute to the “mini Punjab” presence in the Mumbai Indians side. Raghu Sharma, a 34-year-old experienced T20 bowler, initially struggled to make it in the Punjab ranks and played in Puducherry before returning to Punjab. He has played in Sri Lanka as well, representing Galle Cricket Club and impressively taking 46 wickets in six matches. With a total of 79 wickets in 12 First-Class, 12 List-A, and 4 T20 matches, Raghu Sharma brings valuable experience to the Mumbai Indians squad.
