All players and support staff of Punjab Kings are safe after their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals was called off in Dharamsala due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The franchise confirmed that everyone associated with the team is secure, thanks to the efforts of the BCCI, IPL, Indian Railways, Police, State authorities, and internal operations team.

The match was stopped after just 10.1 overs were bowled, with Punjab Kings at 122 for one when three floodlight towers went off at the venue. Spectators were evacuated and the game was abandoned. The HPCA Director mentioned that there were indications of security concerns even before the match started.

After the cancellation, a special Vande Bharat train was arranged to transport players, support staff, commentators, and crew members to New Delhi. The IPL expressed gratitude to the Railway Ministry for their swift response in organizing the transportation.

The 2025 IPL season was suspended for a week on Friday, with the BCCI set to provide further information to teams and stakeholders in the near future. The Punjab Kings thanked everyone involved in ensuring the safety and success of their journey, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative effort in times of uncertainty.
