Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has taken legal action against her fellow co-directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in a Chandigarh court. The dispute arose from an Extraordinary General Meeting held on April 21, which Zinta claims was conducted improperly without following legal procedures. Despite attending the meeting, she has requested the court to invalidate it, particularly objecting to the appointment of Muneesh Khanna as a director, a decision she and another director, Karan Paul, opposed.

In her lawsuit, Zinta has also asked the court to prevent Khanna from acting as a director and to halt the company from implementing any decisions made at the contentious meeting. She further seeks to restrict the company from holding future meetings without her and Paul’s presence and without Khanna’s involvement until the legal matter is resolved.

Despite the legal turmoil, Zinta has been actively supporting Punjab Kings during the IPL 2025 season, where the team, led by Shreyas Iyer, has secured a playoff spot for the first time since 2014. With 17 points from 12 matches, they are currently in third place and aiming for a top-two finish. Their upcoming matches include facing Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in Jaipur to conclude their league fixtures.
