Rajasthan Royals has announced the signing of Nandre Burger as an injury replacement for Sandeep Sharma for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Sandeep Sharma, who played in 10 matches for RR and took nine wickets, has been sidelined due to a finger injury.
Nandre Burger, a left-arm South African pacer, is returning to RR after previously representing the franchise in IPL 2024, where he managed to take seven wickets in six matches. He has been acquired by RR for Rs 3.5 crore.
Burger’s addition to the team will provide depth to the bowling department and bring in valuable experience. His previous stint with the franchise has shown his capabilities, and RR will be hoping for a similar impact from him this season.
The team management is confident in Burger’s abilities to fill in for Sandeep Sharma and contribute positively to the team’s performance in the remaining matches of the IPL. With his skillset and past performance for the franchise, Burger is expected to make a significant impact and help RR in their quest for success in the tournament.
