Sunrisers Hyderabad traveled over 600 kilometers to face Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam, which is considered as the second ‘home’ for the Delhi team. Despite this, Muttiah Muralitharan, SRH’s spin bowling coach and mentor, believes that they will have more support from the crowd. He feels that Hyderabad will receive more backing from the fans, making it seem like a home game for them with high expectations.
Muralitharan anticipates a slower pitch for the afternoon match on Sunday, providing some assistance to the spinners. However, he does not rule out the possibility of another high-scoring game at the relatively small and slower ground. He acknowledges that predicting the behavior of the pitch before the match is challenging.
Despite the pressure to break the 300-run mark, Muralitharan remains optimistic, mentioning that the team has come close to achieving it with scores of 286 and 287. He believes that with two batsmen scoring big, anything is possible in cricket, and surpassing the 300-run milestone is not out of reach.
In conclusion, Muralitharan is confident in the team’s abilities and is looking forward to a competitive match against Delhi Capitals, where they aim to perform well and secure a victory.
