Mumbai Indians will make history as the first T20 franchise team to play 300 matches on Sunday, led by Hardik Pandya in the 2026 IPL opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. They will join Somerset and Pakistan as the only teams to achieve this milestone. RCB is close behind with 287 matches. Mumbai’s 299 appearances span the IPL and the now-defunct CLT20, where they played 22 matches. With 151 wins in the IPL, Mumbai is one of the most successful teams, winning two titles. Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, Mumbai experienced a golden era, winning five IPL titles between 2013 and 2020. Rohit led the team to 87 wins in 158 games, the most by any team during that period. After Rohit, the leadership transitioned to Hardik Pandya in 2023, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of the most successful T20 franchises.
