Mumbai Indians climbed up to the third position on the IPL 2025 points table after securing a seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. Despite a shaky start in the PowerPlay, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to post a total of 143 runs, thanks to impressive performances from Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar. However, Mumbai Indians made light work of the chase, with opener Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav delivering outstanding knocks.

The IPL 2025 points table now sees Gujarat Titans leading the pack with 12 points from 8 matches, followed closely by Delhi Capitals also with 12 points from 8 matches. Mumbai Indians, with 10 points from 9 matches, have moved up to the third spot. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, and Lucknow Super Giants are tied at 10 points each, occupying the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions respectively. Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings round up the bottom half of the table.

The points table has been updated until the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians match on April 23. Mumbai Indians’ victory has significantly boosted their position in the standings, positioning them as strong contenders in the ongoing IPL 2025 season.
