During the IPL Auction 2025, Mumbai Indians made a significant move by securing Trent Boult for Rs 12.5 crore, marking his return to the franchise. Boult, with a base price of Rs 2 crore, was MI’s sole acquisition on Sunday. Additionally, Mumbai strengthened their squad by signing Naman Dhir for Rs 5.25 crore, Robin Minz for Rs 65 lakh, and Karn Sharma for Rs 50 lakh.

Naman Dhir was involved in a bidding war that started at Rs 1 crore between RCB and MI, later joined by DC and RR, eventually securing him for Rs 5.25 crore through MI’s RTM option. Dhir had a successful debut in 2024, scoring 140 runs at a strike rate of 177.21.

Robin Minz, the first tribal player in IPL history, joined MI for Rs 65 lakh after missing the 2024 season due to an accident. Experienced spinner Karn Sharma was acquired for Rs 50 lakh, adding depth to MI’s spin department.

In addition to these new signings, Mumbai Indians retained players like Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma for the upcoming season.
